Actually, we did no research and asked the local Marriott information desk who directed us to this place:

    - Ishkabibble’s Eatery

A South Street legend since its hippy days, Ishkabibble’s has been cooking up cheesesteaks and chicken cheesesteaks since 1979. Believed by many to be the home of the chicken cheesesteak, Ishkabibble’s throws out the cheesesteak rule book and lets its patrons call the shots—and the toppings. The broccoli chicken cheesesteak and the sweet potato cheese fries make for great late-night snacks. 337 South Street, (215) 923-4337.

The concierge did not like Pat's or Genos, claiming they were both too touristy. Nice try Triplet.

Those places are too far to walk from where we met up.

It was Ishkabibbles. I had forgotten it until I looked up famous P.Steak places, and the name stood out. Remember the owner had just purchased it from the original owner. He was also very grumpy because you took your time ordering your toppings.

I had the chicken cheesesteak for which they are famous and I took no time ordering.

      • So in an attempt to eat an authentic steak you went with chicken? I assume you layered on some brie?
        Fitter. Happier. More Productive.

That wasn't an option, but for you they will give it the college try.

          • Merrill Hoge on husker fans and the killing Lincoln experience...

            http://www.omaha.com/huskers/blogs/e...b46f0cb30.html

"Win or lose, I walk out of that experience being one of the greatest experiences I've ever had at a sporting event because of the Nebraska fans," Hoge said. "Honestly, I've never been around 90,000 fans that were louder, smarter and more respectful. They were classy."

He went on to tout Husker fans' attitudes after the game, saying they exemplified what sports should aspire to be.

"If we wanted a model of how sports should be, you go to Nebraska and experience that," Hoge said.

            • This is the third year in a row that BYU has done something early in the season that got the entire nation's attention -- beating Nebraska this year with the hail mary and before that, two years in a row of Taysom Hill destroying Texas. Now let's beat a top 25 team Saturday.

                  • I still think the draw play to Algie (or was it Hine?) was the gutsiest call on the final drive given the lack of available timeouts.

Hine. I think we deserved to win with the amount of balls some of our play calling showed. And those 3rd and short stops. I think Anae/Bronco are taking a cue from Peterson.

The stops were beautiful. Very different than last years D. Warner was a beast and I swear that if I squinted my red just enough that I could see "Van Noy" on the back of his jersey.

Those stops were aided by some poor playing calling on the part of Riley/Langsdorf and even poorer execution by the Nebraska OL. I think Riley/Langsdorf should take a cue from Bronco/Anae. BYU deserved the win-they executed some ballsy plays when it counted. IMO, Nebraska should have never given BYU the ball back and the opportunity for the Hail Mary.

Nebraska didn't give the ball back to BYU - the officials did after Nebraska missed the field goal.

If Nebraska makes another first down, they don't attempt a FG, and the officials don't spot the ball at the 35-yard line for BYU's offense.

Totally unrelated, but I laughed when, during the Utah game, Harbaugh thought the officials had erred after a missed Ute FG when they put the ball back at the line of scrimmage. An assistant had to tell him that the NCAA didn't follow the NFL rule that puts the ball at the spot of the kick.
