On the way in, Joe Ricketts, founder and former CEO of TD Ameritrade invited us -- all decked out in COugar Blue -- into his hospitality tent. Tasty bison brats and chili (from his current company). I've been to a lot of away games. No one comes close to the friendliness both before and after the game.

Worst fan experience was boarding my flight from KC back to Portland. Some tool on the aisle starts telling me he's a Ute fan and singing the song "Utah man am I" as I pass his row. What a contrast in fan bases even though both wear red.

That kind of doofus move carries its own punishment. The puerile melody, coupled with the sexist and archaic lyrics, is a great way of announcing, "Not today, ladies!"

And btw, with the win over the Huskers, Boney Fuller's Twitter feed is even more enjoyable to read. There's some quality work there.

      • I wonder if the 10 or 12 BYU fans that left before the last drive are feeling pretty stupid at this point.

Yeah, I watched some leave during that last drive. Oops. At least they saved 10 minutes from their drive, though. Totally worth it!

I'm was born and raised in Nebraska and I've never understood the Runza craze. Runza (the restaurant) does have really good burgers and fries though.

An entire row of BYU fans in front of me left after we punted with 4 minutes left. I'm sure beating the brutal Lincoln traffic was worth it.

They must have wanted to beat the dinner rush near their Waverly hotel.

              • It was probably mentioned by someone already, but the kicking game was really solid. Johnny Rugby was a pleasant surprise, and Sampson's kick into the wind, was clutch. I also focused on Koroma for most of the game; he was dominant. I agree with PAC, Anae called a great game. I believe 3 of the penalties were for too many men in the backfield. Did anyone notice if it was the same WR responsible?

Trey Dye should have not been there. Wasn't he supposed to be suspended?
"Guitar groups are on their way out, Mr Epstein."

Upon rejecting the Beatles, Dick Rowe told Brian Epstein of the January 1, 1962 audition for Decca, which signed Brian Poole and the Tremeloes instead.

I never understood the Runza craze either, they are gross. I just figured Nebraskans liked them out of conditioning or something. My family didn't move to Nebraska until I was 12. I couldn't finish eating my first Runza "treat". Agree that Runza does serve a good burger and fries so didn't mind going there to eat.

                            • Sunday's Omaha World Herald had some great photos. Yes, my dad still gets the print edition of the Sunday paper.
