That was a rough one. After the Wazzu game it was hard to say this was going to be a playoff team with a suspect D and a patchwork OL. I thought Marcus might be enough to get us there on his own. It wasn't meant to be. Frustrating to miss on 3 chances with what is likely the best player that will ever play for Oregon.

Plays that seem to work against Oregon are RB dive, RB zone and any wheel route. Also any play when it is 3rd and longer than 7.

Lots of bad calls both ways, I'm not going to lie the celebration penalty was a tough one to swallow.

That penalty looked pretty bad on tv. I can only imagine how it looked in the stadium.
That was my daughter's first Ducks game. I told her beforehand that it would should be an easy win, but it will still be fun to watch. Wrong on both counts.

Even if Oregon doesn't have a spot in the college football playoff you'll always have a spot in our hearts.

That run for a 1st on 3rd and 20 was the backbreaker. Is the PAC going to put any team in the playoff? It's looking better for the Big-12 every week.

If it makes you feel any better, I think that Wazzu is a really, really, really good team. A lot of quality teams have struggled with them.

Arizona struggled to beat Cal and UTSA. I'm not sure how good they are, but either way, a game like that just underscores how difficult it is to go undefeated against any schedule. John Feinstein, this morning, kept saying "Oregon does this every year". Uh, essentially every team outside of Alabama and Florida State does "this" every year.

and uh, outside of a few collective seasons ever, Alabama and Florida state do "this" every year. That is why BYUs national championship is so impressive, and, to a lesser extent, utah being invited to play In a new bowl game twice.

Question for the Oregon observers: How did the OL get this porous? Injuries? Crowtonesque recruiting imbalances? Purely cyclical? It's weird to watch a team with the recruiting pull of Oregon end up with an empty cupboard in a pivotal position group.

ACL in fall camp, 1 starter in opening game, 2 starters in Michigan State game. Injuries happen.

All of these were starters? Yeah, no team is going to be able to recover if four of their starting linemen go down.
