Totally agree. Alvarez was rumored to have been a micro manager when the last guy left for Arkansas. Maybe he's just a pain to work for ? I was stunned at the margin of the loss against Ohio State in the championship game. OSU isn't that much better then Wisconsin.

Going by that standard, OSU didn't have a winning season between 1971 and 1999. That would make OSU much worse.

There is a whole profession dedicated to representing athletes, coaches, actors etc. They are commonly called agents. For coaches one responsibility would be to make such inquiries to schools for possible employment should said coach want a new job.
