So you think such a scenario would have ZERO impact on pressure to expand?

Might not be enough in the short term, but it definitely helps.

I do know that. And that is why Baylor is the best team in the Big 12.

Jimbo Fisher just said on the postgame, after being asked "What do you have to say to the committee about their decision?" and he said "There isn't any decisions to be made. We just finished making it for them."

It'd be cool if they let OSU in to punish the B12 for not determining a champion, but I doubt they will and kinda hope they don't.

I'm sympathetic to FSU being ranked 4th since they've looked shaky in at least half their games, but I agree with the seeming majority that wins and losses still have to be prioritized over advanced metrics/style points.

Basically what all of you are saying is that the committee didn't really believe TCU was third. If they really believed that TCU was third there is no evidence to drop them. I don't necessarily agree that that are really third but if the committee believes that they are, then they keep their spot.

52-0 against a top 15 team (completely shutting down a Heisman runner up) is a lot better than 55-3 against a dud.

Ok. They might be deserving of being the big12 champ but they might not be the best. Unless you believe that home field means nothing.

Agreed. However what did TCU do to make the committee think that they are not as good as they were last week?

I just don't see how you can claim you're the champion when you tied with a team that beat you. If TCU and Baylor played today, and TCU was unbeaten and Baylor had one loss, and Baylor won the game, the sentiment would be to put Baylor in the playoff from the Big 12 and nobody besides TCU fans would argue.

Homefield obviously means something, but I just don't feel like the West Virginia loss outweighs the H2H game that occurred. They both had bad games on the road against WVU. TCU won by a point. That doesn't make them better than Baylor who they lost to. TCU fans probably think their win over Minnesota matters, but I guess I am not that impressed with Minnesota either.

I would agree that you are probably right. I think it's unfair but the committee may just be dead set on TCU. Btw, what is your personal opinion, not what you think will happen? Who deserves to be in?

Conference champion is not a big enough criteria for the committee.
