Were BYU not playing at the same time (Boise State), I'd be mightily tempted to attend the Cal Oregon game at Levi's Stadium that evening. Several thousand tickets remain unsold, although the prices run from $110 to $300. I trust the entire HFN family is coming down. We'll be happy to provide accommodations, although if he's dropping that kind of coin he might as well shack up at the nearby Four Seasons or Ritz Carlton.

I'm watching the Tech/OSU game on ESPN3 right now since WatchEspn was buffering forever, and the game on ESPN3 is just on the Skycam!!-- no announcers, no commentary, just the ambient sound and the sky cam flowing along behind the play like a game of Madden, then zooming back behind center when the ball gets reset. This is cool! I wonder if this was available for the Virginia game Saturday.

There is a YouTube video of just the sky can view from the Houston game. Much better viewing experience than with commentators.

I was looking up the history with the FCS/D1AA playoffs. It started in '78 with 4 teams and quickly expanded to 16 teams 9 years later which held until 2010. Today it is up to 24. I expect the FBS playoff to follow a similar trajectory. A 16 team playoff would be awesome for BYU as an indy. Most half decent years we'd be in the mix until at or near the end of the season.

You know this is going to play out crazily in the SEC west. I would be surprised if every team does not end up with 2 losses.
