We all know Bishops who were released and called to teach Primary. Same idea.
Gotta say it would take me a few years to get used to seeing KWhitt on the BYU sideline.

Worst idea ever. Especially since there is no love lost between Kyle and Bronco. Can you imagine the fractures that would be created by keeping the former head coach on staff ... especially one as successful and purportedly loved by his players as Bronco is?Originally posted by CardiacCoug View PostBronco is crazy enough maybe he would agree to a demotion to defensive coordinator.

I cannot see any way Kyle would come to BYU unless Bronco left voluntarily. BYU will not fire him. If Bronco did decide to retire, this would be a pretty shitty way to go out. What I could see happening is Bronco informing Holmoe that he doesn't intend on renewing his contract and giving permission to look for a replacement and Kyle resigning from Utah because of Hill and coming to BYU when Bronco's current contract is up. I still wouldn't like it, but it makes much more sense than Kyle coming this year and Bronco taking a demotion or getting fired. Bronco has also said (or heavily implied) multiple times that he wouldn't quit before his contract is up, so I don't see him leaving voluntarily this year. He has made it clear that he felt like BYU betrayed Crowton by firing him while he still had a year left on his contract. I think that is a little silly, but he seems to think fulfilling the terms of a contract is a matter of principle or something.Last edited by UVACoug; 12-27-2014, 07:21 PM.

Bruce Feldman makes it sound like it is Hill's idea for KWhitt to leave:

Wow, Gary's options elsewhere would be nill after a move like that. Utah would be his last head coaching job.Originally posted by SCcoug View Post

Speaking of Gary, maybe we should be throwing crowton's name back in the mix. Utah's got an OC opening, right?Originally posted by USUC View PostWow, Gary's options elsewhere would be nill after a move like that. Whit, Kiffin, GAndersen, The Good Doctor Hill, rumors flying around. What a soap opera.
So it's a fight between The Good Doctor and Whit for the soul of uofutah athletics. Joke's on them, there is no soul there to fight over.
BYU should just stay out of this and not get played like it was last time around.Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!
For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.
Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."
