That's a nice looking pike. Nothing better than beer-battered pike."There is no creature more arrogant than a self-righteous libertarian on the web, am I right? Those folks are just intolerable."

When Hill has time he is so deadly and this game is different if he had 5 seconds to pass without breaking the pocket. Our Defense would be really really good with Corners. Daniel was horrible (he must not be healthy) how many missed tackles? Not to mention 5 yards away on every reception by Wisc. If that Wisc QB was better they would of killed us.
Positive side I thought BYU Oline was much better in the 2nd half. Hoffman is so good I am going to miss him. I hope this JC kid coming in is close to what Hoffman is because I dont have faith in Apo and Mathews. Jammal is fun to watch run he should have ran more.
Go Cougs lets see some Depth against Idaho State,
If's are a game I have played a long time. I am comfortable now dealing with reality. Unless all the stars align just right we aren't going to have all those if's come together. Year in and year out, BYU will not get the line talent a Wisconsin gets. Year in and year out our corner talent will be at the level it is this year.
When those area's hit a high point, odds are good the receivers won't be at the high point they are at this year.
One year the stars might all align, but under the present situation BYU deals with, we are doing pretty good and as long as fans have the ifs (hope) they will keep coming in enough numbers that Bronco can have the same attitude as a Saban or Parcel.Last edited by byu71; 11-11-2013, 08:57 AM.

Pike are in the walleye family. Walleye is often considered to be the best-tasting inland game fish, but I think pike are even better. A delicate white meat with a terrific texture. Almost like halibut. The only drawback is that they have a big y-bone down the middle that makes them tricky to filet.Originally posted by smokymountainrain View PostI've never tried it, but sounds delish."There is no creature more arrogant than a self-righteous libertarian on the web, am I right? Hmmmm...it appears a trip down to Yuba may be in the works for the SMR family.Originally posted by Jeff Lebowski View PostPike are in the walleye family. My son and I go to Yuba 8-9 times per year. You should see the monster fish we catch. It is a blast.Originally posted by smokymountainrain View PostHmmmm...it appears a trip down to Yuba may be in the works for the SMR family."There is no creature more arrogant than a self-righteous libertarian on the web, am I right? Is this the same Yuba near Nephi? If so, I've spent 3 out of the last 4 Memorial Day weekends there.Originally posted by Jeff Lebowski View PostMy son and I go to Yuba 8-9 times per year. I know you can do well with Pike at Yuba, but is that the most frequent catch down there or do you guys catch more Perch or Trout?Originally posted by Jeff Lebowski View PostMy son and I go to Yuba 8-9 times per year. You should see the monster fish we catch. It is a blast.I'm like LeBron James.

We should!Originally posted by byu71 View PostDon't we have a forum devoted to fishing?
I have thought about starting one, but I am worried that I might be the only one posting there."There is no creature more arrogant than a self-righteous libertarian on the web, am I right? Those folks are just intolerable."

There are no trout left. They have all been eaten by the pike. There are still perch, but the numbers are down. You catch pike and sometimes walleye.Originally posted by smokymountainrain View PostI know you can do well with Pike at Yuba, but is that the most frequent catch down there or do you guys catch more Perch or Trout?"There is no creature more arrogant than a self-righteous libertarian on the web, am I right? I cant recall a single point in the game when I sat there thinking to myself, "Taysom looks deadly."
I can remember several times sitting there thinking to myself, "I'm surprised that Taysom has had some time to throw the ball" or "Taysom, you may want to throw the ball away because Borland is running right at you and you can see him running right at you."
Oh, well. Sometimes the other team is simply better. This is one of those times.Fitter. Happier. More Productive.
