I have thought about starting one, but I am worried that I might be the only one posting there.I'm like LeBron James.

A lot of this credit goes to Gary Anderson. They felt like they could get pressure with a minimal rush, and they did a good job of containing Taysom with their outside backers not letting him feel like he could run to the outside. Wisconsin did a great job of disciplined rush on Taysom, or staying in their lanes and making it difficult for him. Our receivers, definitely hurt by depth, didn't really get open much from what I could see on TV. There were a couple of drops (the one to Matthews where it looked like he got hurt is one) but as you mentioned, Wisconsin was better.Originally posted by TripletDaddy View PostI cant recall a single point in the game when I sat there thinking to myself, "Taysom looks deadly."
I can remember several times sitting there thinking to myself, "I'm surprised that Taysom has had some time to throw the ball" or "Taysom, you may want to throw the ball away because Borland is running right at you and you can see him running right at you."
Oh, well. Sometimes the other team is simply better. This is one of those times.

The line played better in the 2-4th quarters. The first quarter not as much.
We're still a few guys on each line away from being able to compete with their team. They are a damn good team. Will donate kidney for B12 membership.

The shame of it was their QB wasn't. The lines can make all the difference.Originally posted by The_Douger View PostThere were lots of times that Hill had plenty of time and nobody got open.

I was a bit disappointed we weren't able to pressure him at all. Van Noy was kind of invisible in this game overall. He kept getting stoned by their R tackle.Originally posted by Blueintheface View PostThe shame of it was their QB wasn't. The lines can make all the difference.
Some of the play calls were baffling to me. We caught them off guard with the counter draw for a long gain the one time, and then we kept thinking we should try similar stuff over and over on third and long. I was pretty annoyed by that. I thought the punt with 8 minutes to go was the wrong call as well. Will donate kidney for B12 membership.

KVN had around 8 tackles, at least one sack (maybe two?) and an INT. What else do you want him to do?
We had some chat with surrounding fans about KVN. He made his presence known.Fitter. Happier. More Productive.

KVN was very good. When he stunted or lined up inside he was simply going against some massive men with good footwork. His 11-yard loss tackle on the 2nd play was a thing of beauty."Either evolution or intelligent design can account for the athlete, but neither can account for the sports fan." - Robert Brault

I guess I disagree. He wasn't credited with any sacks. He did have a couple nice tackles for loss. For us to win this game we probably needed him to gets a strip sack or a make a play like he did against USU to set the tone. I get that they schemed for him, as he's our best player. I felt the defense in general got pushed around for much of the game.Originally posted by TripletDaddy View Post

Wisconsin is primarily a running team. Stave wasn't going to throw a risky pass to start the game when he has two All American backs at his disposal and the ground game was working for them all day. If you think we needed a USU-type pick six at the beginning of the game to set the tone, then you are right, we probably disagree.Originally posted by The_Douger View PostI guess I disagree.
