I am serious about this at what point do Oregon fans become tired of having a good team but one not good enough to win a NC? Or are the flashy uniforms enough to offset that?

How many teams are realistically national title contenders. Unless you are Bama, Texas, USC, or Florida, demanding a title to qualify as success is unreasonable.
