You cut the quote. In fact byu may have won the game even by losing the TO battle badly, as I pointed out. If Sorenson can kick a fg, byu likely wins. If Alisa falls n the ball, Byu wins and still loses the TO battle badly. It's simplistic and just plain wrong to assert what you have about turnovers. It was one factor last year, it will likely be even less of a factor this year, but not determinative.Originally posted by smokymountainrain View PostAre you trying to prove my point? Pretty sure BYU lost the turnover battle last year and also lost the game. I said this year that whoever wins the turnover battle will win the game - just like last year. I stand by that.
Also I agree that whoever scores the most points will win the game. Who will score the most points? The team that wins the turnover battle will score the most points. You're welcome.

It's more than a blip, but I get what you're saying. The loss of Davies may have cost us a Final Four appearance. The loss of Hadley will make it tougher to beat Utah, USU, and Georgia Tech, but his loss isn't the game changer Davies' was.Originally posted by Omaha 680 View PostI'm not sure anything can top the Brandon Davies shoe in the groin. This isn't even a blip on my radar compared to that.

I predicted the team that wins the turnover battle will win the game. Let's go ahead and pick up this discussion after the game. In fact, after I'm proven right, you can buy me lunch.Originally posted by Jacob View PostYou cut the quote. In fact byu may have won the game even by losing the TO battle badly, as I pointed out. Glad I wasn't alone in noticing that.Originally posted by woot View PostThe midpoint between blue and red is purple, and yet purple represents the 70-80% range on that map, not 50% where it belongs. Somebody wanted the Utes to look a lot more popular than they are.

Not only that, but if you look at byu football and Utah football likes, byu has 106,000. Utah has 8,000. I have no idea where these numbers came from.

Obviously, if that map were extended beyond Utah, there would be a lot of blue. uofutah is a regional school, even subregional in a way..Originally posted by Coach McGuirk View PostNot only that, but if you look at byu football and Utah football likes, byu has 106,000. For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.
Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

Never underestimate the power of self-righteousness. Brother Hadley, assertions of your Honor Code impropriety--but not your exact transgression--will be shouted from the rooftops.
Why not just hang the letters "HC" from his neck and make him walk around campus? We all trust our own unorthodoxies.
