I might believe this if you weren't willing to welcome Nick Saban with open arms. Best argument you can make is that Saban is only as bad as Meyer.

And plenty of BYU fans hate Reid. And his sons.
They announced the record every single time BYU scored their first points in a home game.

I played in a local 3-3 corporate tournament the year after the check issue/dismissal and Ruffner was "working" for one of those washed-up-athlete companies and I had to guard him in our first round game. Of the 3 players Ruffner was by far the "weakest link" (and he was pretty dang good) and together the 3 of them took us to task. I've never seen a team get to 11 that fast in my life. I would have asked for his autograph but that's what got him in trouble in the first place.

They did? I don't remember, but wouldn't doubt it. I will also admit that when MRD posted it I immediately understanding what he meant. I hated that it was Utah to do it.

I don't recall this either. However, maybe because it went on forever I just failed to take notice.

We were also instructed to think of Jones Paint & Glass when we heard the crash, and regarded both announcements with equal reverence.
