I thought that was funny, too. Saban worked in Lansing, baton rouge, and Tuscaloosa. All really lame towns. He clearly doesn't consider cultural or entertainment options when choosing his employer.

Rumors are that his wife has already purchased a home in Austin. It will be interesting to see. If nothing else, he could probably parlay all the rumors into another raise at Bama.

There are reports now saying that Alabama is playing defense...increasing sabans salary to 7mm per. Of course I also read that Texas was going to offer ten years at 10mm per.

Word is that Harsin withdrew his name from consideration. Its down to Koetter and Tedford. Footballscoop says its going to be Dirk Koetter, they are just working out the details.
