On the bright side I'm guessing that the mods can delete the Pac 10 groundswell thread soon... We won't need it anymore.Originally posted by Donuthole View PostIntentional obtuseness. For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.
Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

Why wouldn't USC have a vote? Maybe he's just talking about the exploratory committee of 4 B1G presidents?Originally posted by Jeff Lebowski View Post"I think it was King Benjamin who said 'you sorry ass shitbags who have no skills that the market values also have an obligation to have the attitude that if one day you do in fact win the PowerBall Lottery that you will then impart of your substance to those without.'"

But I have respect for USC's position. Unlike some BYU fans, they get it."There is no creature more arrogant than a self-righteous libertarian on the web, am I right? Those folks are just intolerable."

Maybe because USC is not yet an official member of the B1G. That changes on 8/2/2024.Originally posted by Pelado View Post

I can guarantee you that having Texas in the SEC will have a huge negative impact on Texas A&M. It already has. That is indisputable."There is no creature more arrogant than a self-righteous libertarian on the web, am I right? Those folks are just intolerable."

USC should tell everyone in the Big 10 who will listen to bring in Washington and Stanford. Washington is a given, but if Stanford were willing to move (not a given), the Stanford vs Oregon choice is interesting. Run of the mill public university vs a top 5 national school. Ostensibly Bay Area vs small Portland market.Part of it is based on academic grounds. Among major conferences, the Pac-10 is the best academically, largely because of Stanford, Cal and UCLA. “Colorado is on a par with Oregon,” he said. “Utah isn’t even in the picture.”

There was an easy way for the Aggies and the Trojans to handle this: via contract. You think they didn't ask, or do you venture to guess that the B1G and SEC were not willing to accept that restriction? So, who's the idiot? The people pining for something that would never be, or the people who see the writing on the wall and take an alternative, more stable path? I know my answer.Last edited by Green Monstah; 08-03-2023, 12:27 PM.Jesus wants me for a sunbeam.

Can we please stop pretending there is anything remotely similar between USC/Texas and Utah? There are plenty of non-BYU people arguing that Utah doesn't really add much in terms of viewers, market, etc to the B12.
