Thanks Indy and Pelagius. You can stop piling on Lebowski now. I think he gets the point.
So Russell...what do you love about music? To begin with, everything.

What did Austin Collie say? "When you are doing things right off the field, Magic happens!"

Maybe this is why Bronco has such a man crush on Riley.

On the flip side, Riley seems to have a significant amount of bad luck in that he gets his worst injuries against bad teams (Idaho, Weber St.)

While making the "luck" argument, someone has to explain to me the role RN's luck played in a TCU defender making an extremely athletic - highest point of his jump and still barely got fingertips on it - interception in the endzone that otherwise was on trajectory to be a TD to the TE right behind him.

While I am not a RN defender - I would say he's had some bad luck too.

Agreed. See Indy's comment about the injuries.

I think you're remembering that play wrong. The pick in the endzone was off Riley scrambling backwards throwing up a jumpball that got tipped and caught by the guy in the back of the endzone. It was a highlight in Riley's poor judgement. The other pick happened at midfield and was a highlight defensive play. But again it was a ball that never should have been thrown. It was a terrible pass into double coverage that fluttered like a wounded duck and hung up in the air. The DB made that outstretched one handed grab on that one.

                      These debates are epic.

Don't worry. We have already established that everyone loves Mark Grace. Me included.

                        • Just curious, but what was the feeling with the fans after the USU game last year. Isn't this USU team very similar to last year's (minus TWO NFL starters). Why can't Riley do as well this year as last? If healthy (and right now no one outside of the team knows if he is or isn't) can beat the Aggies. If he isn't healthy, Bronco says he let's Doman call the offense, so Doman had better get Riley out of there and put in a healthy QB. That being said, I believe (no inside knowledge, just gut feeling) Riley starts on Friday.

It was hardly a "jumpball". Six--no, threee--inches higher and that play is on SC. Now, you could argue that he shouldn't throw into the endzone scrambling to his left into coverage, given that we have three points in the bag, but the throw was not awful. He tried to make a play (that was there) and almost did, a play that would have won a game on the road that we had no business winning.
At least the Big Ten went after a big-time addition in Nebraska; the Pac-10 wanted a game so badly, it added Utah
