I'm just giving a typical timeline for a Thursday night game while living in the Eastern time zone. Of course, the upside is that most of the east coast also will make a similar sacrifice to catch a BYU football game, so it's a veritable ratings bonanza.

Don't forget the post-game show and game replay on BYUTV.

Sorry. I like BYU, but I don't like them that much.

Worse. I invited some people over to watch.

I generally don't like to watch games with other people unless I know they understand the game and the team. Plus I want them to be at least on my level of fanaticism and won't mind if I paint the sky blue when Riley floats a duck in the middle of the field as he is getting sacked. Last year I invited one of the guys I home taught over. Nice guy and BYU grad, but didn't know jack about football or BYU's team. And I kept having to answer questions about the roster and hear him complain about this Heaps kid sucking.

Hopefully they'll back out when they hear it's a late start.

I have to work in the Temple on Thursday night. I actually debated on whether to bail or simply miss the first quarter as I am in Minnesota. Thank goodness for DVR!!! Best reason to live in the later days right there. Ok, maybe not the best reason but it sure makes watching sports or anything else on TV way better.

I also know that when BYU wins, it will be because of my faithfulness in going to the temple. So you are welcome.

Over/under is 62. Which side do you take?

FWIW, Wazzu's total average last year was 61.5; BYU's was 50.4.

I take the over, but based on the prediction thread, it looks like most would take the under.

I think both defenses will struggle. Prove me wrong, Bronco.

I would take the under. Defenses are ahead of the offenses at the beginning of the year.

I hear that a lot, and it makes sense, but tell that to Baylor and TCU. Baylor/TCU from last year is just one example, but in all seriousness, I wonder if the stats would support your statement. I have my doubts.

BYU has scored more than 30 points in 13 of last 40 season openers and fewer than 20 points in 14 of their last 40 openers.

LOL! If anyone accepts then they'll basically be at your house until 2am.

MJ asked if I wanted to have people over, then she checked the start time and told me "nevermind." I should be in bed by 12:30am if Riley works some magic and puts the game out of reach in the 3rd quarter.

Absolutely. I hate watching with other people.
