Despite what could be considered a defense of Meyer here, I don't disagree with your point. My point is essentially, no matter how good of bad Meyer has been, it wouldn't matter to byu fans because he committed the ultimate unforgiveable sin in this world, winning games at the University of Utah. It is the same reason why Rick Majerus is considered the second worse human being to Urban Meyer.

McBride never won enough to garner this hatred of the BYU fanbase. He was a good coach, but not quite good enough to win enough games to earn the wrath of BYU fans. As for Whittingham and Majerus, that is simply not the case that they are respected, especially Majerus. I've gotten into many arguments with BYU fans that think that Majerus is a horrible human being.

When I first glanced at the thread I thought oh oh there's an Urban Meyer scandal. Cheating? Adultery? Did he quit again? I searched the Internet (briefly but efficiently). Nothing, and there's very little Urban hate out there.
