Jake has to sit out a year, right? So there is no school he can simply step into and play right away. This means there is no sure thing that he'll become the starter at any school. Even the hapless Ute QB situation could be resolved by 2013.
The most sure think for Jake was to redshirt and play after Riley graduates, so he's not really going for the sure thing.
I don't know where he'll end up. But playing for Leech doesn't seem like a perfect fit. Sure, his QBs put up #s, but they aren't playing in the NFL.
I really don't care. I'm surprised at how little I am affected by the news that he is gone. All of a sudden, I am a much bigger Riley Nelson fan.Comment

I would expect Washington will pass. They definitely do not want him after he effectively strung them along until the last second. Too much bad blood there.
UW is loaded at QB, too. Keith Price is a SO this year, and will probably start next year plus they have several good QBs in the pipeline. And a Montana.Comment
