And apparently Kiffin still really likes him. But still, I think that's a tough move. Odds of winning a QB competition are a lot longer there than other places.Originally posted by SCcoug View PostI know when he was being recruited he really liked Kiffin. So Russell...what do you love about music? To begin with, everything.

It would be like a trade for Taysom Hill.Originally posted by OrangeUte View PostHow about Stanford? What do they have in the pipeline behind Luck?
I really wish him the best of luck, but given that he only has two years of eligibility left, he better be plenty wise. He'll be like a JC kid coming in, competing against kids that have already been in the system. He needs to find a hole to fill. Maybe that exists at Stanford, which would be great for him, but I doubt that hole is there.Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!
For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.
Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

The Idaho State was a little TIC but maybe a Nevada, SDSU or Fresno may be better than going to a PAC 12 school.Originally posted by MarkGrace View PostI agree. Well, not with going to Hawai'i or Idaho St., but with the general sentiment. USC? There'll be so much competition there he may never get on a field again.

I'm surprised no one has posted about the most disappointing part about Dick's article. Apparently, there's no chance that Heaps ends up Utah.Part of it is based on academic grounds. Among major conferences, the Pac-10 is the best academically, largely because of Stanford, Cal and UCLA. “Colorado is on a par with Oregon,” he said. “Utah isn’t even in the picture.”

That would be too good to be true. Can't dare hope. SU's 5th law: when proof is empirical, you've lost.Originally posted by SeattleUte View PostWhat I'm saying is demonstrably true. However, Heaps is leaving your school because you all will never forgive him for 54-10. He has to leave BYU because that happened. Everything I have ever said about BYU culture is more and more becoming empirically established. It's why I mentioned it. But I think the pirouette he did against Utah may have screwed him with some of these teams. They may think he's a turnover machine (supposedly that's not true at least from an int perspective--but that could be tainted by the fact that Heaps was known to check down more than Matt Leinart in last week's game when Leinart went 12/14 for about 50 yards).Originally posted by The Notorious J.I.C. The ole ball coach is looking for the anti-Stephen Garcia. He might find it in Heaps.Originally posted by cougjunkie View PostSouth Carolina with Steve Spurrier."They're good. They've always been good" - David Shaw.
Well, because he thought it was good sport. Because some men aren't looking for anything logical, like money. They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned, or negotiated with. Some men just want to watch the world burn.

Hell No!! Please keep Heaps the hell away fro BSU. I see your motives and attempts to sabotage BSU..Originally posted by Green Monstah View PostSpeculate away (caveat: I have no idea who does/does not need QBs right now).
Boise State (do they have a solid replacement for Moore?)
Utah (I would love it if Van Noy had a sack/forced fumble for TD against Heaps in Ute gear someday)
Cal?
Oregon State
Washington
Wazzu?
The list could go on and on, but it will be interesting to see.
In all seriousness. BSU has a backup QB they have been grooming so he wouldn't even start there. Nor do I think they would want him. He does not meet their credentials for a QB in BSU system. The mental toughness and never die attitude they seem to bread up there..
