    • Appears Sanduskys lawyer "horsed around" with a 17 year old girl when he was 49,

…Defense attorney Joe Amendola, 63,*representing Sandusky in the sexual molestation case roiling Penn State and Joe Paterno’s legendary football program, impregnated an under-age teen and later married her, The Daily has learned.
According to documents filed with Centre County Courthouse, Amendola served as the attorney for Mary Iavasile’s*emancipation petition on Sept. 3, 1996, just*weeks before her 17th birthday.
Around the same time, Iavasile became pregnant with Amendola’s child, and gave birth before she turned 18, her mother, Janet Iavasile, told The Daily.
He was born in 1948 and was around 49 at the time….

          • Costas gave a good interview of Sandusky. Sandusky was less than convincing in pleading his innocence

            • What is sanduskys strategy? Does he have an advisor? Seems like a horrible idea to do national media right now unless he is getting paid and he wants to get as much for his wife as possible before he goes to the hole.

Sandusky is going to prison for a long time. It is inevitable. The only thing he can do on TV is deny everything...and the only thing the will do is make people more angry.

His attorney was on the broadcast in person. That is who is advising him. Not sure what he has to lose by proclaiming his innocence. I don't see how he is going to make people more angry. Is that possible? Would help if he didn't have to think so hard whether he is sexually attracted to young boys.

I couldn't help but think of MJ as I read the Sandusky grand jury report. Sleepovers, showering children with gifts, using charity to be around/alone with disadvantaged (less supervised) kids.

Celebrity status, sleeping with boys, initial police investigation doesn't lead to charges, etc. Sound familiar?
                      Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!

For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.

Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

Shall I say what I have decided to boycott partially on similar grounds? Better not. I don't want to offend anyone.

                        • What a damning interview. I don't get the strategy here and how you could possibly come out looking better. Hey Sandusky, why so hard to say you are not sexually attracted to young boys?

                          • You know, there is something wrong with someone who allows a statue to be erected of himself while he's still alive. It's called narcissistic, and it was part of the problem here.

When I was at Georgetown law, Ross Perot endowed a tax chair to be named after his tax lawyer--Martin Ginsburg, Ruth Bader's husband. At that time, Martin Ginsburg was a professor at Georgetown, and still very much alive. He said they couldn't name the chair after him while he was alive, because it just wasn't done, and it made him feel unfomortable.

I don't get it either, but he can't get any worse of a rep. He did a decent job "trying" to use the guilt trip act in his voice before Costa's asked if he's a pedophile.
