Then he said he expects Utah to not cover the spread and lose outright. By 10 pts.

At that point I decided maybe he isn't just trying to endear himself with the locals, but maybe he actually believes this stuff. So I suppose that helps my optimism just a little.

He also said he expects Riley to have a big day and TCU to have a difficult time with the dual threat he provides.

Starting to get excited for the game tonight!
For some reason I'm feeling a 14 point win for BYU tonight.

I remember driving up to Dallas in '08 thinking the exact same thing.

              Compare that to BYU's opponents

              Ole Miss 29.1
              Texas 25
              Utah 22.4

Probably a useless comparison, but still that's a significant disparity between opponents.

I think this game is closer than many think it will be, which gives me hope that the long haired fellow will have reason to make an I'm a Mormon ad someday.

Do you mean how many points TCU's opponents are giving up per game? Because there's no way an 0-7 New Mexico team is scoring an average of 47 points a game.

                Has to be.

This is why I am calling for TCU to stay below 20 points tonight.

                Hey TCU:

yes, how many points they're allowing, not averaging.

BYU fans representing pretty well around town. Should have a nice crowd tonight. Highlight of the trip so far: taking the Rangers' defensive shift scouting report off the dugout wall during my tour of the stadium. Go Cougs! Go Cards!

What did it say about positioning of the Right Fielder with two outs and a two run lead in the bottom of the ninth? I'm guessing it didn't say "stand where the ball can be hit over your head," but with Ron Washington, you never know.

They were in "no doubles" defensive stance.

So, this isn't a neutral game?

But triples are more than welcome.
