I disagree to an extent. It may be just the medicine he needs. He doesn't seem to have a lot of drive or passion, and I wonder if that's because the game of football has simply come easy to him.Originally posted by byu71 View PostI will be shocked if Heaps starts. It seems pretty clear that Doman wants Riley and I think the majority of fans support Riley starting. Something behind the scenes would have to be going on for Jake to start.
If Riley gets hurt, which I hope doesn't happen, you might see Jake. My guess right now is if Riley takes the field as the starter Saturday, you can kiss the thought of Heaps ever becoming a "big time" QB for BYU good bye.Jesus wants me for a sunbeam.

If Jake being benched is what dooms his BYU career, I'm afraid the die was cast long before this weekend. OTOH, if Jake follows the simple steps outlined by Shaka then he'll become one of the most beloved qb's in BYU history. There are few things we love more than a redemption story.Originally posted by Green Monstah View PostI disagree to an extent. It may be just the medicine he needs. Tickets are priced similarly to Utah State, maybe a bit less. Due to the extremely late kickoff, I am expecting more volume in the days leading up to the game. 8:15 start means getting home past midnight. I think a lot of people will leave early or not show at all.Fitter. Happier. More Productive.

I am saying another sell out with lots of crying, over tired babies at the game.Originally posted by TripletDaddy View PostTickets are priced similarly to Utah State, maybe a bit less. Jay Drew tweeted that out last night. This is going to be an interesting game. Possibly several interesting games. Nelson is going to get his shot to be the man. Any time you get the chance to see if someone defies the odds, lives up to expectations, or gets carried out on a stretcher you just have to watch. Any way you slice it the media will get plenty of fodder.Originally posted by cougjunkie View PostLooks like Riley is getting all the first team reps in practice, at least he did yesterday.

What kind of offense does SJSU run? I'm wondering if we are going to see more of an attacking defensive front this week."It's devastating, because we lost to a team that's not even in the Pac-12. To lose to Utah State is horrible." - John White IV

I cut my beard once because my mom asked me to. I like this Riley guy.Originally posted by TripletDaddy View PostRiley says tonight that he cut his hair because his mom told him he had to get it cut.
Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!
For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.
Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."
