Not for a lack of trying I guess, your continued use of bizarre subreferences notwithstanding.

The Utes at work today were so nice to me I was creeped out. Any way you slice it this loss sucks.

I'd rather be mocked than pitied and yes, any way you slice it, this loss sucks.

Thanks, this is good information to have. I hope a couple of guys I work with feel the same way. I'll have to lay the pity on extra thick now after having to listen to them tell me how Utah has no talent.

I did feel genuine empathy on Saturday... but after speaking with several cougar fans in the last couple days... not so much anymore.

The fans at this place are far less CB'esque than some of the guys I work with.

They couldn't "own it" if you gave them a million dollars.

I think traditionally (on CUF anyway) if a fanbase it getting mocked it means the game was close. That type of loss sucks too but when you get obliterated while not competing (please don't take that to mean Utah didn't affect that outcome because they most certainly did) it makes it even tougher to swallow. Then this Big 12 news comes down just around the time the game ends (for me at least) and Utah Valley officially went on suicide watch. Had I shown up to CUF to find anything other than the modest drum and feather as my avatar I might just have lost it.

I get it. Honestly that's just how I felt after the TCU game last year.

What I wrote isn't about what I've seen here at all.

One guy I work with (in particular) seems to be covering his normal emotions by attempting to strike out at Ute fans. I haven't said anything and have been letting the other Utes present take their shots.

I think I'll try the pity thing with him now though.

True story. I did a Google image search for Red in the Face, but didn't see anything that caught my fancy. I think my selection for you was inspired.

I knew I opened myself up to that. Please no, unless you have a semi-nude picture of Halle Berry that you wouldn't mind posting. One with the D&F covering all her bits and pieces.
