FWIW, it will be many weeks before we face a qb with wheels like that, if at all. He may be the most elusive and quickest qb on the schedule, and it sn't even close.

    • The smoking hot new (single) engineer in the office with the impossibly big and perky boobs (Goatnapper approved but NATURAL and SPECTACULAR), the one I have to go far out of my way NOT to eye-bang on a daily basis, went to Montana State. I am glad I didn't flip her any shit about this game. That would have been embarrassing.

      • It may have only been Montana State, but I think "Episode 4" will turn out to be a better back than either Matt Asiata or Darrell Mack.

        • Caught the second half.

          Ute defense better than advertised.
          Ute offense worse than advertised.

          • I think Whit handled the post-game perfectly. He's putting a lot of pressure on the coaches to put these players in schemes and situations where they can be successful. With a guy like Wynn, I think it is paramount that they do just that and help rebuild some of that confidence. With an OC like Chow, I think he can do that more than if Schram and A-Rod were still CO-OC's.

Well, because he thought it was good sport. Because some men aren't looking for anything logical, like money. They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned, or negotiated with. Some men just want to watch the world burn.

            • Vakapuna needs to step up his game, He didn't contribute much value at all.

The O-line needs more work together, they did not pick up the blitz well for shit. Wynn is not going to be durable enough (mentally or physically) to endure the types of sacks we saw last night, against the speed and size of PAC defenders.

The defensive line is going to have to bring more pressure on the quarterback, we can't let PAC quarterbacks have that kind of time to pass.

I agree that Utah didn't show much from the playbook. I'm confident there is more... there better be.

The Utes got some rust off and the coaches got a look at some places to focus, hopefully the game served it's purpose. We got a win against a team we should beat. We ran a nice scrimmage at game tempo and found some areas to improve on this week.

How dare you? Don't you know Utah is doomed?!? One bright spot pointed out to us by our own senioritis:

Thoughts on the game next week:

                1. Last time we played the plucky Trojans, we wore their asses like hats. Our quarterback that day was Lance Freaking Rice. Jordan Wynn is not Lance Freaking Rice. Nothing to worry about.

That expression cracked me up. Although, I'm still not sure if "wearing their asses like hats" was good on us, or bad.

I forgot to mention that we could stand to tackle better too. We had a couple guys get loose that shouldn't have.

First game stuff, but we need to improve. I think they will polish up some rough spots as we move forward.

USC is loaded with talent. They will still be working on getting their game together too, but we have our work cut out for us.

Any speculation or argument for this? Or were you just feeling optimistic?

The plucky Trojans who were barely bowl eligible? Plus that game was 10 years ago.

sounds like an Oklahoman team y'all beat a couple of years ago

Well, I think he's got enough experience to evaluate a QB's skill set and make adjustments. Versus Schram or A-Rod, neither of whom have been an OC before Utah, and might not have the experience ro savvy to make those kinds of adjustments. Time will tell if Chow will be effective with Wynn, but I would trust him over any other OC Utah has had under KW to try and help out his struggling QB.
