I was able to watch long enough to get to the point where the HFN family is shown on TV, mainly because Jr and Cap kept asking when we were going to watch it.

There were so many chances, how do you have an illegal formation on the 1 yard line? A 9 point swing in a game lost by 3 points is tough.

Mark Asper DT was 15 yards past you and in at least FG range, why did you tackle the defender?

Maehl & Tuinei you have to score on a pass reception longer than 70 yards that is a rule or something.

Early in life I was, somewhat inexplicably, a Dallas Cowboys fan. This was especially odd since I'm a NoCal native - but I hated the Niners with fury and loved the Cowboys. I think it had to do with my Dad telling me at a young age that "Tom Landry is the classiest guy in the NFL" - (in retrospect I'm pretty sure it was the hat that convinced him of that). And back to back class act QBs in Staubach and White helped me buy in. Plus, White was LDS, which trumped everything else.

So when "the Catch" happened in the NFC title game when I was 5 I remember running out of the room and then out of the house and into the forest near my parents place and then sobbing. Yes sobbing.

I became a Niner fan because of "the Catch." I started hating the Cowboys when the dismantled the Broncos in the Super Bowl, and I wasn't even a Bronco fan at the time.

1998 tournament final. Utah crushed Arizona, put together a magical performance against a loaded UNC, and led at halftime against Kentucky. If Majerus had given MacTavish just five minutes...

I have all of the Utah tournament games from that year on video tape. I have yet to watch the final game and probably never will.
