As long as they keep giving exceptions to SC, no problem for me.
I enjoyed this qoute
Translation: sorry, Zoo/Devils, Dawgs/Wazzou, You don't really matter much. In fact, I'm surprised they don't just move the Utah Colorado game now since nobody considers it a rivalry anyway. Neither fan base would be up in arms about it. Why move The Big Game when Utah and Colorado haven't played each other regularly for decades? Our preference is to keep them as (late) as we can. But it’s very likely that at least one will have to move up.”Fitter. Happier. More Productive.

Frankly, if I was a "PAC10" fan, this would be one more reason to be pissed about the "PAC12".
Of course, one way to make the scheduling easier would be to go to an 8 team conference schedule instead of the inane 9 game schedule.

That will never happen because:Originally posted by Portland Ute View PostFrankly, if I was a "PAC10" fan, this would be one more reason to be pissed about the "PAC12".

A. the conference gains an assured extra tv game (away OOC are under the contract of the home team)
B. One less game the schools have to pay the visitor to play in."Be a philosopher. A man can compromise to gain a point. It has become apparent that a man can, within limits, follow his inclinations within the arms of the Church if he does so discreetly." - The Walking Drum

True, but lots of new $$$ tends to ease the pain of going to a PAC12.Originally posted by Portland Ute View PostFrankly, if I was a "PAC10" fan, this would be one more reason to be pissed about the "PAC12".
I thought that I heard recently that the SEC is going to a 9 game conference schedule? If so then it seems like the trend is moving to more conference games.Of course, one way to make the scheduling easier would be to go to an 8 team conference schedule instead of the inane 9 game schedule."Friendship is the grand fundamental principle of Mormonism" - Joseph Smith Jr.

I'm not understanding the REAL reason behind rivalry games not on Thanksgiving weekend every year besides the Thursday Night games on ESPN rule in that article. It just seems like they're blabbing about "perplexities in the scheduling" like it's some big issue even though it wasn't this year or next? What perplexities?Last edited by UtahJazzFan88; 11-18-2011, 11:20 AM.

There have been 6 champions named in the PAC12 so far this year.
CC men and women - Colorado
Football - Oregon
Soccer - men and women - Ucla and Stanford, respectively
Volleyball - USC
0 for 6. Better luck with the winter sports, Utes, as i'm not sure they give out participation awards.
