I like the WCC, but maybe it's not as stable as we thought.

Interesting. I wonder why Gonzaga would want that though. In most seasons they're going to be the #1 team in the WCC and at worst #3. The WCC is a 2-3 team tournament league. They consistently play a nice OCC schedule giving them plenty of RPI and SOS bumps. Would the money in a Big East/A-10 conference be worth the travel? I don't see why that matters, but I am not sure I agree anyway. I think BYU would have beaten out CSU for the 4th seed in the MWC because I believe BYU would have beat them head to head. My defense of the WCC for basketball (and really, we're basketball-only too as far as this discussion goes--B12 for all sports is a no-brainer if we have the option) centers around the same thing you said about Gonzaga basketball--we're easily in the top 3 of a 2-3 bid league every year.
