SALT LAKE CITY — As Utah's special teams rushed on the field with precious seconds ticking off the fourth-quarter clock following Tauni Vakapuna's rush for a loss of 2 yards, Colorado first-year coach Jon Embree had a particular strategy in mind.

    Then he thought otherwise.

"I thought about calling a timeout to ice the kid, but then I thought, 'Nah, he's gonna miss it," Embree told the Denver Post.

Holy crap I just read that Colorado's seniors had never won a road game until tonight.

The Sun Bowl is a pretty cool bowl. The only bad part is you have to go to El Paso. That place is a dump and somewhat dangerous in places. The Alamo Bowl would have been 100 times better. San Antonio is the best destination city in Texas.

This means they lost to WSU at least twice.

They didn't play WSU last year, or the year before, or the year before, or the year before that.

Colorado has been the worst road team in the NCAA dating back to 2007. Until today.

                Substitute Baylor for WSU.

                    or Kansas.

Anyway, Arizona State getting their ass kicked by Cal right now, makes me even more pissed off about today's loss.

I would substitutes Kansas. Baylor was in the south.

It's pretty remarkable that the program has been that bad for so long. I couldn't imagine losing so much for so long.

It's a rivalry game. Anything can happen.

They were playing with nothing to lose.
                            Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!

For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.

Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

I will be honest this game has me pissed. Utah got its ass kicked by a pretty bad team. 1 freaking first down @ half???? 3 missed fg. A crucial fumble when they are driving.

The defense played horribly. How many crappy arm tackles?

                                Apparently, 0-1.

I think this will develop into a fine rivalry. The Utes will go back and undoubtably stomp CU next year. Thanksgiving will turn into a travel day every other year, unlike the late great rivalry with BYU, which saw fans from both teams asleep in warm beds no matter who hosted the game.
