Quick google search yields that you have to have a .500 record to go to a bowl game. I'm searching for the precise rule, but it would seem than a 6-7 UCLA team would be left out. If UCLA wins the championship, of course, they are at worst 7-6 and thus eligible. It would be odd to see them in the Rose Bowl, though, where they would likely be murdered by whichever B1G team makes it there.

My Ute fan son is taking the loss hard. Keeps reminding us that the prophet is a Ute and is now resorting to 54-10 smack.

Resorting to such smack in my household growing up would have had my father resorting to real smacking.

He is still a little green, give him a few seasons and his smack will take a step up.

              Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!

For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.

Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

One of my daughters came home saying she was a Gator fan. Mrs. TexTechCoug kindly informed her that it was not allowed, and that she was not free to talk about it at home.

Congratulations to the colorado seniors on the first road win of their careers. Those guys worked hard for four years, gave everything they had to the program, and deserved to pull this one out.

I was stunned at how they seemed to handle both of our lines for the bulk of the game. It seemed like a lot of what Vakapuna was able to accomplish had more to do with him being a load than any adjustments our line made.

Sellwood totally botched the onside kick...he had it and then lost it...what a coulda shoulda woulda play.

Clock management down the stretch was awful...as was the play calling. I was actually a bit shocked that we even had a shot at a FG with the way Hays was "slingin" it. I thought that once they got to the 30 on the penalty, they needed to run that draw play to Vakapuna and set up the shortest, most straight on FG they possibly could have...ah well. Definitely outcoached today, sadly.

I hear el paso is wonderful this time of year... :utetailgate:

Well, because he thought it was good sport. Because some men aren't looking for anything logical, like money. They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned, or negotiated with. Some men just want to watch the world burn.
