I am not participating in this thread. Just wanted you all to know.

Same reason your responses come from a script.

In that setting they don't see Bronco as God, they see him as the BYU football coach and a friend. Maybe some old guy slips and blurts something out. He gets put in his place in a hurry. It is a privliege for him to shell out money and NO he isn't pals with the hierarchy and it is good for him to be reminded of that now and then.

No, it wasn't me. I don't go to those anymore. After my divorce I stay away from situations where I might get lectured to.
I've gone to a few of these and even in this setting where Bronco is talking to the most innermost of the inncer circle of BYU boosters and fans, Bronco takes cheap shots at the audience, every time. And maybe it's supposed to be funny, but it comes across confrontational, arrogant, disdainful, etc.

I can't comment on the last 3 years I haven't gone, but my brother has gone and said he still basically lets the crowd know he doesn't much give a crap what those who disagree with him think.

I'm beginning to think you don't actually have a brother.
Ain't it like most people, I'm no different. We love to talk on things we don't know about.

I actually have two. The really, really rich and spiritual one and the really, really into BYU sports and spiritual one. I pretend I am one of them every now and then.

I found it a little bit chuckle worthy. Bronco does not like to be corrected but I thought he handled it in good humor-but he, like Nick Saban and many other uptight coaches, struggles with humor.

If I were participating in this thread I would respond that I have come to like Bronco. We all have our quirks, and he is trying to do a really difficult job. But I am not participating so I won't say anything.

You might as well participate. Whether you do or not, 6 months from now everyone will have memories of what a jerk you were about Bronco.
