Chow as Utah OC?!?!

LOL. He rolled into town a few years ago and dropped zero on BYU. Utah's odds of beating BYU just went way down. They should have gone after Crowton. That would have really put the fear into BYU. Crowton is a great recruiter and offensive mind. He just wasn't fit to be head coach.Just try it once. One beer or one cigarette or one porno movie won't hurt. - Dallin H. Oaks

In such a dismal basketball season this is such great news. The ultimate win-win.Originally posted by BlueHair View PostLOL. He rolled into town a few years ago and dropped zero on BYU. For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.
Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

Curious. Your win-win doesn't include anything about Chow meeting a need for the Utes, being a good hire etc.Originally posted by SloanHater View PostIn such a dismal basketball season this is such great news. The ultimate win-win.

Utah's "unknown quantity" at OC put up 13 points in 3 losses.Originally posted by Katy Lied View PostIf Norm Chow is hired, I take back everything I predicted about the Utes finishing no lower than 2nd in the Pac12 next year.
Not that he's bad, its just that he's a known quantity. The other teams have been scheming against him and know how to beat him already. So then Kyle hires him to go up against the same teams who have figured him out already.
And of course, there's more to being offensive coordinator than just play-calling/offensive philosophy. Chow's player development skills at BYU, USC, and even his year at NC State with Phillip Rivers are unmatched.
You're one of the smartest football posters on this board, but I'm not sure why Chow would cause you to downgrade Utah expectations compared to what we already had."I don't know the origin of said bitch booming."-Art Vandelay
"Hot Lunch posted awhile back on this. He knows more than anyone except for maybe BO."-Seattle Ute

Now I know you are just trolling. Gary Crowton a great offensive mind that is some funny stuff. You are right Crowton isn't fit to be a head coach, he also isn't fit to be an offensive coordinator anywhere for more than 1 season. He is good for 1 season and that is it.Originally posted by BlueHair View PostLOL. He rolled into town a few years ago and dropped zero on BYU. Utah's odds of beating BYU just went way down. One year in and you are ready to make that assessment? Your Zoob is showing.Originally posted by mpfunk View PostIt was a bad hire. He didn't have the experience for the job. Sometimes it works see Brandon Doman and sometimes it does not.

Oh good hell, leave the utefans shit over on that site. BJ was really bad last year and he wasn't qualified for the job. Maybe he will grow into the position over time, but right now the hire doesn't look good.Originally posted by Jeromy in SLC View PostOne year in and you are ready to make that assessment?
