By way of update, do we have any further actual hard news on this issue? Has Utah scheduled a press conference, for example?

Nope. ESPN is reporting that NoChos buyout is 500k!!!!!!!!!!! That is astronomical for a coordinator. Which means that UCLA may still hire a new OC and just demote Chow to QB coach hoping he leaves on his own free will.Originally posted by TripletDaddy View PostBy way of update, do we have any further actual hard news on this issue? I guess his son Carter knows what he is doing, after all.Originally posted by cougjunkie View PostNope. ESPN is reporting that NoChos buyout is 500k!!!!!!!!!!! That is astronomical for a coordinator. I have to laugh at the thought of Mike Garrett or Dan Guerrero and a team of attorneys sitting across the table from Norm and a 30-something year old kid from BYU Law school and leaving the meeting with their checkbooks completely emptied.Fitter. Happier. More Productive.

Carter is older than me but I played against Cameron in high school. Cam was shitty and lost his starting QB job to Danny Southwick. But somehow Cam went on to get a schollie as a safety at BYU and then at NC State when Nocho left. However he never actually played and is a sportscaster in St. George now.Originally posted by TripletDaddy View PostI guess his son Carter knows what he is doing, after all.

Carter was a tennis star, very effeminate, and I am sure disagreeing with Boyd K.*Banned*

It turns out, so is Davis.Originally posted by mpfunk View PostWe are just reclaiming Chow. He is a Ute.
LA Times article
Davis, who has worked at Minnesota since 2008, also lettered three times for the Utes.
The former offensive tackle played from 1978-80 and returned as an assistant coach from 1990-96. He was on the Idaho State staff with Whittingham in 1989 and worked with Chow at USC from 2002-04.

Because Whittingham is not Neuheisel. A good manager knows when to give their employees the leash. I think Chow deserves it.Originally posted by Jacob View PostAren't you contradicting yourself? Carter was a 1L when I was a 3L. His was married to another 1L in his class (they arrived to law school already married). Both of them did very well in school.Originally posted by cougjunkie View PostCarter is older than me but I played against Cameron in high school. Funny how we didnt really know each other in law school and now all these years later both of us are making millions of dollars and live exciting lifestyles.Fitter. Happier. More Productive.

Here are the details: http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/spor...depature-.html
I bet Chow goes to Utah, but I bet UCLA gets out from him for $200-300,000 (which is still quite a bit money for a coordinator. It will be interesting to see how this plays out.

I think Norm has the potential to be a great hire for Utah. DDD might have been too busy at work at the time to remember, but many SC fans were ready to throw in the towel on Carson Palmer. There was talent added to that 2002 SC team for sure, but Palmer took 2 years and Norm had turned him from hyped recruit washing out to #1 overall pick.
Wynn shows signs of being a very good QB, now add Langi into the mix, maybe a WR or two. 2012 could be a very good offensive year for Utah, assuming no mission for Harvey.Get confident, stupid

Do they let you smoke weed on your mission? If they do Harvey may leave if not Utah is safe.Originally posted by HuskyFreeNorthwest View PostI think Norm has the potential to be a great hire for Utah.
