Mike Hague is listed at 5'10" 220 lbs and will be a Jr. next year. I believe that he still has a redshirt year left though. I usually don't think it is wise to have guys switch positions (especially switching sides of the ball) once they've burned 2 years of eligibility with so much time invested. Rarely do I think that they are able to contribute much even if they played the position in High School.
Take a look at Vic So'oto as an example. At TE he played bits as a Freshman and Soph (with a RS year in between due to injury). He made the switch to LB his Jr. year, which was lost to injury after two games in 2008. 2009 he had only 10 tackles in spot duty. 2010, his third year on the defensive side of the ball, he made a nice impact, but it took a while to get there. Had he not had two years lost to injury, we wouldn't have had him this season (and defensively we would have missed him big time).
Hague is on the borderline of making sense to switch to safety. A redshirt year next year, followed by two to play I think he could pull it off. Riley, absolutely not. Keep him on the other side to play QB as a backup or situational guy to come in and run option or line him up in the backfield with Jake. I wouldn't even mind them putting in a few plays with him in the slot. Riley did good things when he played, though not at the level that Jake did as a QB. Let him be a playmaker next year and a guy that opponents will have to account for. That is, if Drew Phillips isn't scoring TDs everytime he touches the ball.
