I think it should be considered to be put in November, got any better ideas in mind to put on the schedule in November that is willing to? I'm sure USU would be fine with it in November.
I will certainly give you that playing USU in November is better than playing Weber St., Idaho St., New Mexico St., or even San Jose St.

I like playing USU. I think BYU should play them every year. I enjoy going to the games. I don't ever await the game with great anticipation. It doesn't rankle me for you to call it an in-state rivalry. I think all of the games that involve some combination of USU, Utah, or BYU are instate rivalry games.

That said - saying USU would keep me engaged with interest is a stretch.

I think a lot of fans were looking forward to the game after being embarrassed last year. I think a lot of fans were then disappointed as BYU fell apart and appeared to be preparing to lose to USU at LES for the first time in a couple of decades. To watch BYU snatch victory from the teeth of defeat (or USU manage to fall apart and lose another close one - depending on how you look at it) Got people excited and that ended with some rushing the field.

I think that prior to the game if you had asked BYU fans if they plan to rush the field when BYU wins, you would've gotten a lot of people asking if you needed help getting back to your group home.

Pay attention to the bold and underlined parts. How many people were acting like it was a "big" rivalry game prior to the game? Not many.

Yes, but after we seen the outcome of the game, I think it has become a legit solid rivalry, no where do I think it comes even close to the Holy War at all, but it's a game where I think that if and probably when BYU continues to have a struggle to schedule November games, scheduling the USU-BYU game in November adds a ton more intrigue than a lower end C-USA, WAC, or MWC game. As someone who watches both, I'd rather see them play each other than watch both play other lower end teams in November.

Like I said, I do think the BYU schedule will and already has shown it will be better in the future, but I'm not so sure any of those games at all really will be in November, which is what BYU needs to try filling up, Utah State is a good team to fill-in to the November scheduling bind.

Like I said - USU generates more interest than Idaho, Idaho St., New Mexico St., etc. And they are generally a better team than any of those. Because of the local angle, I see them at least being on the par with most of the MWC.

But to clarify a little further - I don't see much of a difference between October and November. So I'm not sure why it matters if you schedule them one month or the other. It is still USU. An instate rival. With that said, it seems like USU fills a nice niche on Friday for conference weekend. I don't see moving it helping anything. And if some of the games are to be in Logan, I'd rather do that the beginning of October than anytime in November.

October and November has a big difference, the USU-BYU game is the first week of October/last week of September, lots of teams that are in BCS conferences don't have conference games scheduled then compared to November. BYU has USU, Oregon State, Notre Dame, and Washington State (I'm guessing they will play each other in October, or late September) scheduled for October next year. November? Probably New Mexico State, San Jose State, Hawaii (I'll consider them a game that has interest to watch), and probably Idaho. That's why I think BYU should try moving the USU game to November in favor of a BCS conference opponent since I highly doubt many BCS teams will want to play BYU due to them being tied to the conference in November.

Anyone watch all access? Three things stood out all in the same segment actually:

              1. Doman is coaching Riley and tells him if the safety comes down he needs to chec th ball down to JJ. Rileys response was "if I check it down we only get like 2 yards" doman says that is better than you throwing it in the dirt or throwing a pick. This really shows Rileys mentality risk vs reward.

              2. Heaps threw a sick post corner and you hear a coach gushing about the touch and arm strength. When Doman comes in yelling for him to not throw it against that coverage and telling him he has already thrown 2 picks against that this year.

              3. Finally they were working on the throw back screen to Holt (The one riley fumbled). Reynolds is instructing Holt on what to do and Holt is clearly screwing up. Reynolds says to Doman can we run that one more time before we are done? Doman says no they are out of time. Lo and behold it doesn't work during the game.

Can we get a redo on the Doman promotion?

Also, when Doman tells Reynolds they're done, Reynolds says, "You're killing me. You're killing me Doman."

Pretty good show. Jimmer made a cameo. He was doing work in the weightroom. I am also trying to figure out how Terrence Brown completed the Eco-challenge.

I got free tickets to the New Mexico State game on the 19th, not sure if I'm going or not. I might sell them cheap to a friend, and go to that heated Colorado-Utah rivalry game.

I still think that BYU and Utah State should find a way to schedule their games on Thanksgiving weekend or the week before, at least both teams have more to look to at the end of the year. Whether some BYU fans like it or not, I think BYU-USU is actually becoming a legit rivalry.
Look, I'm only going to say this once:

If Utah and CU continue to play one another on Thanksgiving weekend, then BYU and USU absolutely SHOULD play each other every year that weekend.

And they ought to play it on the same day.

I am willing to go out on a limb and bet that the Utah media would talk about that game more than the Utah/CU game.

That game would overshadow the Utah/CU game in most years.

Given a few years, the tradition of USU/BYU on Thanksgiving weekend would become a very cool part of the Thanksgiving weekend in the state of Utah.

It might not ever reach the epic proportions of the Utah/BYU rivalry late in the season, but you never know. Long before Utah and BYU were the big thing, the Utah/USU game was the late season Thanksgiving staple in the state. It was a big deal.

Another note from the All-Access, the Nike pullover Bronco wears is sweet. Also sweet is the Band of Brothers long sleeve tee with the sailor cap cougar on the back. I want both.

I agree, if Utah State gets into the Mountain West (although the thought of BYU @ Utah State on The Mtn. disgusts me a bit if a new TV deal isn't done with this new conference merger with C-USA), I think it helps the rivalry as well since Utah State will face better opponents. Who's going to play BYU in the future on Thanksgiving weekend anyway, this year is an off week for BYU on Thanksgiving weekend? When everyone else is having their rivalry games. Although I do think it's a cool thing that BYU could possibly try facing Hawaii on the road every other year in December.

Since we have 8 special teams coaches I am not sure who designed the sailor cougar but they mentioned that a special teams coach was the artist.

Aso Terrence Brown looks 40 and does nothing to eliminate the grown men playing vs kids stigma that's out there.

Number 2 was just an observation and made me think that as fans even when we think a qb just made a great play or even a terrible play we don't know all of the reads or what the qb has instructed to do. They only showed 2 clips and Doman was equally hrd on Riley about only wanting to gain 2 yards.
