17 years is a long time, too. Still, no excuse.

I really thought that Heaps' 3rd-and-13 completion to Mehina (sp?) was the clutch play of the game and meant BYU would win.

Biggest missing fixture - a second safety. I'd love some more depth at DL, but the weakest starting defensive hole is what's-his-bucket -- the safety that's not Rich.

I am saying he did not warm up his arm at all at halftime, unless it was in the locker room, which in Utah's locker room, I don't think would be possible.

My brother and I were looking immediately when the QBs came out of the locker room to see if we could gather any hints. It was very clear immediately what was going to happen. Wynn had a beanie on and walked out on the field. Cain had his helmet on and ran to the sideline.

The ONLY thing that Cain did prior to the 2nd half was practice taking a few snaps. He did not throw one pass on the field or sideline during halftime or during BYU's first drive of the 2nd half.

It's because he couldn't get any of the Cougars to come over and warm him up. Luckily for him it didn't matter as he completed as many passes to Cougars as he did Utes.

                        • Say, the broadcast didn't show the obligatory post-game, mid-field congratulatory handshake by the HC's, always a touching moment. Was there one? Did one coach snub the other? Did they both essentially offer a "screw you" to other and walk off the field? Perhaps the exultant throng on the field prevented an embrace.

Funny you post that- today was one of those very, very rare occasions where I actually went out and bought a copy of the trib, sat down, and read a good portion of it. Of course, I love the editorials and stumbled upon that "good sportsmanship" bit. I was elated to read it and really felt like our fans were finally getting the idea and stepping up to the plate. Then I realized how many BYU fans would say a Utah fan wrote that. Lol.

Look at this. Clearly a Cougar plant:

After what I witnessed at the football game this past Saturday, I’m embarrassed to admit that I am a University of Utah fan. I know that in many sports it is commonplace to boo the opposing team when they present themselves on the playing field or surface, but I fail to understand the rudeness of booing the Brigham Young University marching band. These musicians performed beautifully, and yet they received the welcome of booing from the stands. Not much class.
