Massey would agree with you--calls this a 14-7 win for BYU.

I'm with jay though. I think we made big steps on defense last week and I like the run-first talk I'm hearing. I think this is a big win for BYU. 24-7.
At least the Big Ten went after a big-time addition in Nebraska; the Pac-10 wanted a game so badly, it added Utah

All signs point to an offensive game plan similar to SDSU where Diluigi had 22 carries, Kariya 22, Quezada 11. 11 carries is good enough to show case him. The ypc was 6.1, 3.9, 4.5 respectively. For the season: 5.4, 3.6, 4.3.

If Quezada can prove a little more separation with Kariya in terms of ypc, I think he'll start getting more carries.

Yeah my model would take Wyoming with that point spread, but my gut says BYU at home against Wyoming when it seems (or maybe it's just my hope) we're on the verge of some consistency on D and O, this will be an easy win.

Yeah, but TCU is the kind of fast defense that DiLuigi struggles against. I don't see those struggles continuing. Wasn't Diluigi higher than Unga's 2009 numbers in ypc before last week?

Very well could be. Too lazy to look it up, but 5.4 on the season now is a great average. For some reason, I've never been big on Diluigi, I think he gets lucky with some long runs for a guy that I don't think is that fast. But he keeps doing it.

I'm trusting tweets on this, but D's numbers were better across the board than Unga's (and against better competition), at least before TCU. They may still be, but I'm sure they took a big hit.

I didn't realize that we've played Wyoming almost every year since 1922. I know a lot of people are happy to never play in Laramie again, but I hate that this kind of tradition is discarded. Just like that. Something about it feels wrong to me.

You hate that a kind of tradition that you were completely unaware of is thrown out?

I wasn't completely unaware of it. I did realize that we have regularly played Wyoming during and since the LaVell era, it just hadn't processed with me that it went all the way back to the roaring '20's.

Yes, football did exist before 1972. It's good to see you learned something.

BYU wins this game going away. Wyoming is last in the country in rushing defense giving up 240 yards per game. BYU is going to go back to the power running game today, slap the shit out of the cowboys and dominate.

Wyoming is last in the country in total offense and Austin Carta-Samuels is going to be hating life almost as much as landpoke after this game.

Heaps throws for 220 and 2 tds. Zero turnovers.

                              Cougars win big 38-10.

Might as well predict Heaps throws 3 TDs and doubles BYU's passing TDs for the season.

I predict BYU runs the ball down WYO's throat on the first drive of the game for a score, then follows that up with Heaps throwing 40+ times and we all wonder why they stopped running the ball.
