http://www.sltrib.com/sltrib/utes/50...-bowl.html.cspThe Utes can take care of TCU themselves when the teams play Nov. 6 at Rice-Eccles Stadium. Utah will need a little help to pass the Broncos, provided Boise State wins out."We should remember that one man is much the same as another, and that he is best who is trained in the severest school."

How can anyone think that BSU won't win out. Do people even look at their schedule? Their toughest game left is against UNR and for BSU that game will likely still be a 3 touchdown win.Originally posted by UtahDan View PostHard to argue with that analysis.
If BSU wins out, they will not be in the National Championship game. The big boys won't allow it. BSU will then end up in the Rose Bowl and will add a 3rd BCS victory to their growing resume."Discipleship is not a spectator sport. We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. Weren’t you watching the announcement? Dr. Chris Hill announced to the crowd that “the Rose Bowl is here.” Then he repeated that sentance for a second time….big things are afoot DDD... big things.Originally posted by TripletDaddy View PostThere is nothing to discuss. BSU will never be 1 or 2 in the BCS rankings because of being in a non-BCS conference.Originally posted by UtahDan View PostI don't know whether that is true or not (is it impossible for them to slip?) but all of that remains possible if Boise and Oregon are 1 and 2.

Not a chance. It may be close but not a pounding. Jordan Wynn turns the ball over way to much in fact utah as a team is 108th in the country in turnover margin that will not fly against TCU or any team of note.Originally posted by CJF View PostI think Utah will pound TCU. TCU this year isn't nearly as impressive as last year. Utah has the perfect offense to hurt TCU. A power running game complimented by good WR's and solid QB play. TCU seems very vulnerable up the middle and that will open up the passing game for a team with talented WR's. Utah has a much better defense than BYU and BYU really slowed down TCU's offense. Utah has good special teams also. I think Utah will get them and I think it will be a double digit victory.
Also this power running game that people speak about at Utah is not as good as most think. Utah has 1100+ rushing yards on the year as a team which is solid and 32nd nationally but only about half of that has come from Asiata and Wide. I do not see the fly sweeps and anything ran to the edge working against a very fast TCU defense.
Utahs advantage will be in the special teams. But I think the fact that Utah does not get much pass rush from their front four will come back to haunt them as Dalton will pick that secondary apart.*Banned*

Unfortunate predictions aside, these are some cool ideas for if/when Utah wins the PAC-12 and represents the conference in the Rose Bowl (apologies for image size).

Yeah, I sure blew that prediction. I still can't figure out what the Utah offensive coaches were thinking there. Terrible game plan going in. I still don't think TCU is as good this year as they were last year.Originally posted by cougjunkie View PostNot a chance. It may be close but not a pounding. I think the helmet change is inspired by teams like Purdue and others who added a rose to their helmet pre-2000. It's kind of a cool idea, especially for the first time Utah plays in the Rose Bowl.Originally posted by TripletDaddy View PostThe block U logo with the Rose looks really cool. I like it.

I'm sure you said this for the wrong reasons. It's now been established that had Utah won out it would be playing in the Rose Bowl. In a sense UD was more right than you were.Originally posted by TripletDaddy View PostThere is nothing to discuss.
