I saw it and to me it isn't even close when comparing the two plays. The SDSU fumble was questionable and the review was not clear. There is no way you can say that about the BYU fumble. And that PI was terrible.Originally posted by Hot Lunch View PostI would be really pissed. I am sorry, I never like to say refs made an impact but they did today. Like I said, I didn't see the play ER was referring to but the two that went BYU's way today were bad and cost Suck Dog St big time.A man who views the world the same at fifty as he did at twenty has wasted thirty years of his life. - Mohammad Ali

What wasn't clear about the review?Originally posted by CJF View PostI saw it and to me it isn't even close when comparing the two plays. The SDSU fumble was questionable and the review was not clear. There is no way you can say that about the BYU fumble. And that PI was terrible.
I'll agree that the BYU fumble was even clearer (although I disagree that the first review wasn't clear), except that you have no idea when the whistle was blown (like Cardiac pointed out). I remember watching it in real time and thinking, wow--they blew that quick, even before I saw the fumble. Sure, JJ fumbles anyway if they don't blow it, but they did.At least the Big Ten went after a big-time addition in Nebraska; the Pac-10 wanted a game so badly, it added Utah

I thought the review could've gone either way, but at the same time, I thought the PI was pretty clear. He had his arm around OC and his hand on OC's left arm until he dove for the ball.Originally posted by CJF View PostI saw it and to me it isn't even close when comparing the two plays. You can't see if the ball goes out of bounds or not on the SDSU fumble and that is what the ref originally called.Originally posted by ERCougar View PostWhat wasn't clear about the review?

On the BYU fumble I agree they blew it quick but that doesn't matter. The rule states that if a play is blown dead to quickly and the player fumbles, the replay can overturn it. There is just no way I can come up with a way BYU keeps the ball in that situation. BYU didn't fumble because the play was blown dead to quickly and he let go of the ball.A man who views the world the same at fifty as he did at twenty has wasted thirty years of his life. - Mohammad Ali

You must not have watched thesame call I did. It was horrible. OC did a great job acting on that.Originally posted by SCcoug View PostNot sure the PI was such an awful call. Dude (and I mean this in the most respectful way possible) had a arm wrapped around Chambers grasping his forearm, and OC really sold it too which doesn't hurt."Take it to the Bank"

I agree that OC sold it, but I disagree on the amount of contact. If that call had been on Logan with the situation reversed I would be livid.Originally posted by thesaint258 View PostI thought the review could've gone either way, but at the same time, I thought the PI was pretty clear. Well his arm wasn't wrapped around him and he has every right to the ball that OC does and he clearly beat him to it. I didn't see it, but Greg Wrubell did and he said it was definitely a penalty, so I don't know what you're bitching about.Originally posted by Hot Lunch View PostYou must not have watched thesame call I did.
