Maybe, maybe not. I have faith in TCU though. Didn't they have the best recruiting class in the MWC this last year? I'm sure they'll fill for Dalton just fine. Also, I think Boise is losing a significant part of it's team after this year. I think. The MWC WILL be tougher than the WAC. I would be shocked if it wasn't. Boise will not go undefeated every year.

Wow. Way to go out on a limb. BSU will be successfull in the MWC, with or without Utah or BYU. As a BSU fan, I would have loved to have Utah and BYU to have stayed in the conference. With the addition of BSU, the conference would have been a legit football conference. Now we will never know.

I agree, but I don't think that will be true every year. I think that's a pretty logical way of looking at it. Every football team goes through phases. Boise is no exception.

Are you meaning to tell me that that will never, ever happen to Boise? I'm not saying that they'll go 0-12 one year, but I am saying that the likelihood that they'll have a year where they don't go bowling or won't be ranked in the top 25 is pretty good.

It's true that they've been a major power in for a while, but with the ever changing landscape of FBS Football I doubt they'll be a GREAT team every year. It just doesn't seem feasible to me.

Never is a long time but what I am saying is that for over 10 years and 3 coaches people have been waiting for Boise to have a bad year. I am sure they will have a down year some day, but I don't see it happening anytime soon.

How long has it been since Boise has had their down phase?

Their mediocre phases came from 95-98 and 83-87. Before that you probably have to go back to the 30's and 40's.


Their only national championship came the first year they were eligible for 1-AA.

The problem is that UNLV, UNM, and CSU are not even third tier, they are horrible. I don't think any of the current BCS conferences have their bottom teams that bad. For every top program (BSU, TCU, UofU, etc.) there is an equally bad team to counteract it.

Agree as well. The cyclical forces dragging down BSU are more than counteracted by the rise of more fortune, such as the deluge of talented players from urban California.

All the while BSU continues to move forward in proving everyone wrong and beating every team placed in front of them.. Including BYU and Utah and TCU (Humbled in the MWC, what a freaking joke.. They OWNED every MWC foe they faced..)..


I hope they keep winning so I can see this gnashing of teeth more from Utah and BYU fans (Little brother has outshinned you).. I hope they keep the blue field so I can still hear the whining on it being an advantage (Much like RM's are for BYU).

I was talking about the fans. But then again, every non-AQ fan whines about this stuff.
