Heaps is a good kid with a lot of talent who made a bad decision in picking BYU. He deserves better. Imagine what a major program would be doing for him right now.

Yup. Getting a decent coaching staff put in place is an almost insurmountable challenge for him at this point.

Jake, and the team in general, continues to be the tale of two halves. Hopefully at some point we get to see them put together a complete football game.

Is it possible that Jake hit his potential before ever getting to BYU?

I've read and heard that he had the best personal coaches and trainers growing up. That he's been groomed to play QB since a young age and his parents have had him at all the camps, with all the gurus, etc.

Is it possible that you've got a very highly polished kid that just doesn't have much left in the potential department?

I'm honestly surprised he's not better than he is with all the accolades he had coming in. Then again, he's only a sophomore.

I guess you guys have to find something to bitch about even after this type of game. Good to see that some Ute fans don't have to need a loss as an excuse to eat there own!

Sorry you guys didn't get enough satisfaction from that game. Seemed like there was a little something for everyone...defense....offense...running... passing... special teams... turnovers...
