What BYU has going for it are the 2 for 1 arrangements. Michigan, and most others, are H and H. Maybe that is good enough for ND to keep.

Notre Dame just cancelled their series with Michigan beyond 2014. It seems likely that a cancellation of the BYU games are imminent.

Freeing up their schedule to fulfill those 5 ACC's teams on their schedule.. I think you are right.. Or maybe they will get rid of other B1G schools off their schedule to meet that need and still show loyalty to us (As a Indy) but I have my doubts...

On another note.. Someone call Holmes ASAP and get UM on their schdule STAT!!!!!

BYU also has Late Oct Through Nov, when it is harder to get others to play OOC. So this could be seen as a positive, but I am still expecting a change.

You may be right, but wasn't the ongoing series with Michigan and others one of the reasons BYU fans were fearing that Notre Dame would cancel the BYU series? That with the commitment to the Big East, as well as the ongoing series with Big Ten teams, Notre Dame would not have room to continue the series with BYU.

I think a lot of people felt BYU would be the first team to fall, not Michigan.

Notre Dame has older rivalry games than that with Michigan. USC, Navy, Purdue and Michigan State have all been played much more consistently over the years. Between those four games and the ACC games, that's nine games. From a recruiting perspective I imagine they want to also keep the series with Stanford. My guess is they really only have two free slots in any given year.

Why would they cancel BYU? they need games and they arent going to play D2 schools. BYU is a winnable game and you get 2:1 from them, so keep them on the schedule.

You don't have to subscribe to the "bosom buddies" opinion of BYU & Notre Dame to see that BYU might be an attractive opponent for Notre Dame.

Do you think Nebraska will schedule a 1-1 with BYU to effectively make the 9/5/2015 game (first game between BYU-Nebraska) a 2-1 series? Personally, I hope so.

I was surprised to see the 11/9/2013 date open on Wisconsin's schedule. Usually, the Big Ten keeps November Saturday's scheduled with their own conference games. Nebraska doesn't have any open November Saturdays.

2015: 9/12; 9/19; 9/26; 10/31
2016: 9/3; 9/17; 9/24; 10/22

Nebraska:
2013: Full OOC schdule

2015: 9/5 - BYU
2016: 9/24; 10/15

I think your Boise St. dates are incorrect. This was the first year and it was played in Boise. 2012 is an even year. You have it listed as in Boise on odd years and in Provo.

no one wants to believe it but byu is not in the b12 because of byu, not because of anyone else.
