It's somewhat ironic that 1996 was one of our worst home schedules in recent memory. http://www.cougarboard.com/board/mes...tml?id=8199187

Awesome.
BYU director of athletics Tom Holmoe today announced the Cougars have agreed to play the University of Nebraska in football at Memorial Stadium in Lincoln, Neb., on Sept. 5, 2015.

You're not kidding. I used to spend quite a bit of time in Lincoln on business. I would stay in the Embassy Suites right downtown. I'd walk around at 6:30 at night and it was like a ghost town.Originally posted by TripletDaddy View PostNice game. Road trip to one of the worst college towns in the country! I will be there, though.

BYU doesn't want to have to buy out 2 games in a 2:1 series.Originally posted by Maximus View PostAnother one and done yipee! Who needs good home games when we can just play hard road games."It's devastating, because we lost to a team that's not even in the Pac-12. To lose to Utah State is horrible." - John White IV

There's at least 3 good reasons to schedule this.Originally posted by Maximus View Postthen little reason to schedule it at all.
1. BYU has never played Nebraska.
2. Nebraska is one of the highest profile programs around
3. It pisses you off

do you think byu could easily get a one and done with just about any bcs team? I just think we have plenty of hard road games. We need some home games. I don't think that is unreasonable... To expect some actual series and not one and dones.Originally posted by Indy Coug View PostThere's at least 3 good reasons to schedule this.

I'm not all that worked up yet about who we have at home in 2015. That's still 4 years away.Originally posted by Maximus View Postdo you think byu could easily get a one and done with just about any bcs team? I just think we have plenty of hard road games. It's true that Lincoln is not a great college town. I grew up in Omaha and I never really liked Lincoln. The game experience makes up for it though. Memorial Stadium is a must-visit for any college football fan.Originally posted by Clark Addison View PostYou're not kidding. I used to spend quite a bit of time in Lincoln on business.
