It's somewhat ironic that 1996 was one of our worst home schedules in recent memory. http://www.cougarboard.com/board/mes...tml?id=8199187

        Awesome.

BYU director of athletics Tom Holmoe today announced the Cougars have agreed to play the University of Nebraska in football at Memorial Stadium in Lincoln, Neb., on Sept. 5, 2015.

Edit: Damn beat me by a minute.

Nice game. Road trip to one of the worst college towns in the country! I will be there, though.

            Fitter. Happier. More Productive.

You're not kidding. I used to spend quite a bit of time in Lincoln on business. I would stay in the Embassy Suites right downtown. I'd walk around at 6:30 at night and it was like a ghost town.

BYU doesn't want to have to buy out 2 games in a 2:1 series.

I stayed in Lincoln one night about five years ago or so. Woke up and the hole place was in red. Everyone. I asked what was going on, they said it was the spring game. They pack the stadium for spring game, and everyone travels from everywhere in the state. Pretty impressive.

then little reason to schedule it at all.

There's at least 3 good reasons to schedule this.

                        1. BYU has never played Nebraska.
                        2. Nebraska is one of the highest profile programs around
                        3. It pisses you off

do you think byu could easily get a one and done with just about any bcs team? I just think we have plenty of hard road games. We need some home games. I don't think that is unreasonable... To expect some actual series and not one and dones.

I think there are over-the-counter creams you can get for that.

I'm not all that worked up yet about who we have at home in 2015. That's still 4 years away.

It's true that Lincoln is not a great college town. I grew up in Omaha and I never really liked Lincoln. The game experience makes up for it though. Memorial Stadium is a must-visit for any college football fan.
