If we really just got a 2:1 with Nevada for November, that's pretty brilliant scheduling, actually.

That is about as good of a 2-1 we could hope for. It is better than I thought we could get. Great sign for the continued viability of independence. Something needs to balance the 2:1's with the ND and Texas's of the college football world.Originally posted by Scorcho View Post

BYU releases their 2013 schedule
Of note is the bye before the Utah game. Utah plays Oregon State the week before. I'm not sure this will make much of a difference either way. But I'm guessing BYU will be coming off of a loss from Texas two weeks before. Now that 2012 is in the books I get a little more annoyed by it. it was the perfect year to get a win against Boise. Utah was not a good team. I think both are going to be better next year. Will BYU?2013 BYU Football Schedule

So apparently BYU announced the 2013 schedule today. It rates a huge "M'eh" from me. Sad that our season will be over after week 2."Sure, I fought. I had to fight all my life just to survive. They were all against me. Tried every dirty trick to cut me down, but I beat the bastards and left them in the ditch."

WTF?Originally posted by San Juan Sun View PostSo apparently BYU announced the 2013 schedule today. It rates a huge "M'eh" from me. Sad that our season will be over after week 2.
The combined W-L record of #BYU's 2013 D-1A opponents in 2012 was 87-54 (61.7%) -- the highest win% of any BYU schedule in history.
Only Florida, Missouri and Texas A&M had higher opposition SOS win% than 61.7% in 2012.
8 of #BYU's 11 D-1A opponents in 2013 had a 0.500 season or better in 2012.

It's a fabulous schedule. Solid across the board including November and the home schedule. If we could put this together every year, it would mean independence is viable.Originally posted by Indy Coug View PostWTF?

Yes, it'll be great watching us go 6-6 next year.Originally posted by Indy Coug View PostWTF?

Of course, maybe those tough early games will allow a young team to gel and get ready for a run at a conference champion.... oh. Right."Sure, I fought. I had to fight all my life just to survive. What's wrong with watching your team face good to great competition week in and week out? Why does it have to be tied to a conference?Originally posted by San Juan Sun View PostYes, it'll be great watching us go 6-6 next year.

Would you complain about probable 6-6 seasons in the Big 12?"I think it was King Benjamin who said 'you sorry ass shitbags who have no skills that the market values also have an obligation to have the attitude that if one day you do in fact win the PowerBall Lottery that you will then impart of your substance to those without.'"

OK, so using that logic, I'm guessing you want BYU to schedule the bottom third of the WAC, MWC and Sun Belt instead? We can go 12-0 against them and then we don't have to worry about conference championships as consolation prizes.Originally posted by San Juan Sun View PostYes, it'll be great watching us go 6-6 next year.

It's like you people keep forgetting that SJS is the biggest advocate of returning to the MWC. He loves playing bad teams.Originally posted by Indy Coug View PostOK, so using that logic, I'm guessing you want BYU to schedule the bottom third of the WAC, MWC and Sun Belt instead?
