In the arms race of college athletics, I think we will see more of these leading up to the point when the SEC and B10 start plucking their final garnishments from the B12 and ACC, to form the super conferences that will be the power brokers for the next iteration of media rights contract negotiations.

My first thought when i saw this was that Utah is pushing to be able to make the cut for that super-league in the next 5 or so years.

"Discipleship is not a spectator sport. We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf

One can imagine restructuring such as a sale-leaseback of major assets like the stadium. Government-backed revenue stream.

Should the government or faith-based institutions lead out on feeding and clothing the poor and needy?

          Republicans: "Faith-based institutions"
          Democrats: "YES."

            • He claims the State of Utah was not consulted on risks to the state and the university.

              Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!

For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.

Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

Suddenly, you are a fan of the Utah Legislature, and concerned about the viability of the U, LOL!

I looked him up: he's a Wazzu grad, and had a friendship with Mike Leach while there. He's still smarting from the P12 breakup, and Utah raiding their running back room. I can empathize.
