An 11-1 BYU should go to the NY6.

…but we won’t be 11-1.

An 11-1 byu would definitely go to the NY6. I'll reserve my thoughts on whether that is possible until Puka and Romney return and until I see how the lines perform against ND.

Arkansas looks beatable and we get them in Provo. If we beat ND (I expect to roll Wyoming and Utah State), the Ark GameDay atmosphere would rival baylor.

This may be a tougher-than-usual year for BYU to crack the NY6. Neither the Fiesta nor the Peach Bowl, which are the two CFP semifinal games this year, have conference tie-ins. That means all of the conference tie-ins are in play for the remaining NY6 bowls, which will most likely reduce the number of at-large spots that BYU would need available to it.

If that is the case, and depending on how the non-ACC spot works in the Orange Bowl (I’m not sure), then the only NY6 spot BYU available to BYU is the one opposite the G5 automatic qualifier in the Cotton Bowl. That’s a a small target to hit.

Oldroyd is obviously dealing with some mental demons when cooking. My guess is it’s secondary to physical issues- he has lost 20 yards on his kickoffs. Regardless, he has no confidence. If Kalani benches him, i I don’t think he ever bounces back mentally. With that said, it seems the right decision at this point.

I wish it were just while he were cooking. Unfortunately, the mental demons seem to be affecting his kicking, too.

I didn't love our defense, but it held Wyoming to under 300 total yards offense. That's not awful.

We were terrible for the first two Wyoming drives and great after that. Wyoming was helped by some questionable penalties. For example, after the celebration penalty we kicked the ball out of bounds and then they started the drive on the 50. Then there was a another dumb 15 yd penalty for something. They only had to drive 35 yards.

Biggest problem last night is we made a bunch of dumb little mistakes and were constantly out of synch. Our substitutions were a disaster. This is all fixable.

Baylor does not recruit nearly the level of talent as ND or Arkansas, or Oregon. But give me what you guys are smoking. I want to beleive.
