Not since they already expanded and signed the best TV deal in college football."We should remember that one man is much the same as another, and that he is best who is trained in the severest school."

A good position?Originally posted by Devildog View PostThis is hilarious.
The PAC didn't approach them... they went to the PAC.
The PAC sits in a sweet position right now. If expansion comes... the PAC's position is far more solid than the Big 12.
These goggles some of you guys put on crack me up.
If the Big 12 survives this year it's highly likely the Big East gets raided after WVU goes to the SEC. The the Big 12 adds some Big East teams and the PAC is left at 12 teams with their options being solely MWC teams. I guess being able to add SDSU and UNLV is a solid position
"Discipleship is not a spectator sport. We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf

The PAC's regional networks 3rd tier rights will bring around that number to every member.Originally posted by Jacob View PostBest tv deal in football? Maybe... but any other Big 12 school thinking they are going to get the same deal as Texas is too.Originally posted by Hsaru View PostPac-12 regional networks are not going to give 15 million to each school for showing women's volleyball and soccer, thats a Ute myth.
Thinking UT is ever going to work for anyone else besides Texas... would also appear delusional. They will always put their own interests first."We should remember that one man is much the same as another, and that he is best who is trained in the severest school."

I can't wait to see who's going to be watching the product from Utah and Colorado 3rd tier rights."It's devastating, because we lost to a team that's not even in the Pac-12. To lose to Utah State is horrible." - John White IV

I was at a pre-game Utah gathering last night in which both Chris Hill and Lorris Betz (acting president) said there's no desire among PAC-12 institutions to expand and that Larry Scott feels the same way. One thing we've learned over the past year+ is that public statements regarding expansion are largely meaningless. The real debates happen behind the scenes and the situations are very fluid. It's probably true that the PAC has determined they aren't interested in expansion. But that doesn't mean they didn't want the PAC16 last year or take a hard look at Oklahoma this year.Originally posted by LA Ute View PostI was at a pre-game Utah gathering last night in which both Chris Hill and Lorris Betz (acting president) said there's no desire among PAC-12 institutions to expand and that Larry Scott feels the same way.
