    If Big 12 wants an answer now, which could happen if other schools are being considered and have a deadline, BYU should say yes today

        A BYU spokesperson this morning said they "may" make a statement re Big 12. Now they are saying they "will" one. sltrib.com/sltrib/sports/…

        Not sure if it means anything, but #BYU has pushed media availability at fb practice back 45 minutes, to 5:45 p.m., approx.

                Part of it is based on academic grounds. Among major conferences, the Pac-10 is the best academically, largely because of Stanford, Cal and UCLA. “Colorado is on a par with Oregon,” he said. “Utah isn’t even in the picture.”

                            BYU is joining the Big 12 and issuing a statement today, and the press conference will be tomorrow. The reason for the delay between statement and conference is because they want a little extra time to prepare statements and make it a nice press conference.
