  • So what do people think the schedule will be for football for 2024? https://kslsports.com/506206/big-12-...rgets-release/

I'm thinking they probably do Pods
    West pod
    Utah
    BYU
    AZ
    ASU

    Plain Pod
    Colorado
    Kansas
    K State
    Iowa St

    Texas Pod
    Ok St
    Texas Tech
    Baylor
    TCU

    The Rest Pod
    Houston
    Cincy
    West Va
    UCF

Basically you would play the 3 in your pod then 2 from every other pod

Basketball will be complete 20 game round robin with Rivals always playing twice (Utah/byu, az/asu, col/iowa st, KU/kstate, Okt St/Ttech, Baylor/tcu, houston/ucf, West Va/Cincy

Several ADs have gone on record stating there will be no pods, but I could see a "scheduling philosophy" that tracks with what you have here. It makes the most sense historically and in travel miles reduction. Personally, I would like BYU to play as many Texas schools as possible.

Are you in Texas? If not, why the affinity for playing Texas schools?

Not in Texas but I think it is beneficial for recruiting, for eyeballs on games/exposure, and less travel burden on the athletes.

I'd really hate to see the Rocky Mountain Rumble go away. Such a great rivalry, once again ruined by realignment.

I will defer to your expertise on this, but is this still true (other than in a historical sense)?

There are three food trucks within a hour of my home that have better bbq than any place I've eaten in KC (Oklahoma Joe's, Jack Stack, and Q39).

Q 39 was really good. But the other two did not impress me much.

In the "cons" column, Texas cities are hellholes! I travelled to Waco this year--what a wasteland.

Is that where the apocalyptic cult was decimated by the deep state? Yeah, I saw that.

                          • I never knew being back in a conference with Utah would be so fun. Thank you, Ute fans for being the most unlikable and entitled fanbase in America.
