No. The Pac 12 is still fine.
The best football conference in the world is dissolving into the western steppe of the BIGX, the western pod of the BIGXII, the western satellite of the ACC, and the dominant two teams in the MWC. Such a waste
But if you are just worried about random people on X, carry on.

Hey, have you heard the latest? It turns out Utah played a central role in messing up the P12 media rights negotiation by insisting on a counteroffer that grossly overestimated their value ($50M/yr).Originally posted by Applejack View Post

Oh, it's not random. It is a consistent behavior by ute fans on twitter. Like the U president, they grossly overestimate their prestige/value/status/etc.Originally posted by Applejack View PostBut if you are just worried about random people on X, carry on."There is no creature more arrogant than a self-righteous libertarian on the web, am I right? Also I find it a little funny that the PAC 12 is having its best year in decades and it is causing PAC12 fans to lament the loss of "the best football conference." Never mind that most seasons in the past 20 years it has been a pile of football garbage outside of one dominant team (usually Oregon or USC, bur rarely both simultaneously). Exhibit A is the number of appearances in BCS title games and the CFP since the end of the Pete Carrol era. Exhibit B is Utah rising to the top of the conference in the past 4 years. Exhibit C is Utah will have at least four conference losses in this season when there are actually good teams.

Not to mention that PAC12 teams haven't supported their teams by filling stadiums in years. Best football conference in the world? Least supportive fan bases in the world.Originally posted by Omaha 680 View Post

I went to Baylor, and there were fewer fans there than when I've gone to asu/u of a/usc. Maybe more than ucla. Definitely more than Stanford.Originally posted by falafel View Post

Anyway, I'll take an empty stadium in Palo Alto over a full one in Lubbock.

Don't be so myopic! You (and soon to be I) root for a big xii team. A big xii without Oklahoma and Texas! Not a whole lot of tradition left in that group.Originally posted by Omaha 680 View Post

My new favorite thing is when Ute fans say something terrible (racist, sexist, and/or clearly wrong), and other Utie Patootie’s postulate that it’s a byu fan. Yes. Portland Ute and Utes Stats and Analysis are byu burner accounts…..Originally posted by Jeff Lebowski View Post
